From daughter Sarah: Hudson saw a child psychologist today for his last visit to the NICU follow-up clinic. Overall I feel it was a positive visit. On the assessment he ranked at risk in motor and cognitive development. Dr. determined that its hard to figure exactly his cognitive function since he mostly has to use motor skills or speech to show or tell us things - which he struggles with. His fine motor & communication skills are in the emerging range. Which is good. Ultimately we should keep getting him as much therapy as possible over the next 2 years as he still has time to keep developing. She did express how alert Hudson is and how happy and sweet he is (no surprise to us!) but she said its still very difficult to give a full prognosis since hes still so young. So...continued prayers for his development especially cognitively and motor skills. He took 3 steps last week on his own!!! Hes working so hard. So thankful for all the help hes getting. We continue to have tremendous HOPE for his future!
