From hope to disappointment by Linda Todd can only be summed up as a narcissistic tribute to herself along with shall we say a stretching of the truth. Ms. Todd ventures in to the discussion of the three missing teenagers and somehow makes the blog about her sacrifice to show the children of Gaza that people like her cared. Need it be noted that in her previous blog posts for the same conservative Israeli blog site, she manipulated essays by the same Gazan children she claims to have had so much care. After much research and investigation it has been determined that Ms. Todd did not post any pictures of Palestinians celebrating the kidnapping of these young Israelis. Ms. Todd in fact in June 2014 admitted that in previous months she had culled 700 friends off her FB account, many if not all her students from Gaza. After Ms. Todd posted her blogs at the end of May 2014, and the ensuing reaction unfolded, Ms. Todd blocked many former supporters and friends from Gaza who spoke out against her. What is interesting is that the individuals who have put together this FB page, who have years of experience in Gaza, have never heard these claims that no-one cares about us or self-victimization drama as outlined in Ms. Todds blog. The sad truth is that Ms. Todd only entered Gaza to marry and live with her husband. She was able to teach at the American International School as her husband, who was an active journalist through his connections enabled her to work there. Ms. Todd had in fact for years advocated for Palestinians through speeches and writings she posted on the internet. She had been introduced to many well known advocates and been exposed to documentary evidence of the situation in Gaza. In a previous blog (CODEPINK) she inferred that she found Gaza quite safe and in this blog she was risking her life. She comments that she wants to throw her hands in the air in disgust at the alleged attitudes of Gazans concerning the kidnapped teens when in fact it appears she researched a young Gazan who was still her FB friend and took a screen capture of his posting to prove her point. This posting was not public so once again she violated trust as she did not seek permission and took this posting for nefarious means.
