From my buddy Steve Hogge I got an interesting revelation a few minutes ago, and it may be useful to people who pick up on it. Right now the enemy is using the Ferguson mess to get us to think of ourselves as black or white, with loyalties based on those labels. The Bible, however, makes it clear that the Spirit-led belong to the nation and race of God, regardless of how they look. This is not a cute idea I came up with. Its part of kingdom thinking. Paul and the other New Testament authors wrote about it thousands of years ago. The Bible calls us ambassadors, and an ambassador is a citizen of a foreign nation, sent to another nation to advance his home countrys interests. If you are Spirit-led, your race is Christian, and your nation is the kingdom of heaven. We dont really believe that. We are often more loyal to carnal human beings who look like us than godly people who believe like us. One of the basic principles of life is that your loyalty should go to people who treat you well and improve you, not people who are connected to you by blood or shallow friendships.
