From my friend Cory: Average cost of a wedding rises to $28,082. Um, why? First, would you invest $30k in a business with a 67% chance of failing? Second, Ive been married for almost 23 years, and our wedding (just over 100 guests, in a church, with reception) cost $300. Take my advice, kids... Go cheaper on the wedding and save the money for a down payment on a house. Why? Because married is married, whether you spend $300 or $30,000.
