From my friend Inger Kjeldgaard: Listening to Adyashanti - TopicsExpress

From my friend Inger Kjeldgaard: Listening to Adyashanti talking about the movement from non-abiding awakening to abiding awakening. I hear quite a few speakers mentioning how they see this happening often and how that happened for them too. An awakening happens where truth is clearly revealed and it lasts for minutes, hours, days or even months - and then the me/self/ego structure comes back and a process of often several years of slow (and usually quite painful) unraveling follows after that. Until eventually theres nothing left. Im surprised that this is so rarely talked about in the nonduality groups and postings on facebook.Has it become a taboo to be in the midst of that? I can find that sense of taboo/shame/sadness in myself. Ive certainly experienced in myself the pain of the sense of self returning after the awakening that happened about two years ago. The roller coaster ride thats been going on since then has been tremendously painful and confusing at times. So I hear speakers talking about this process, but I hardly ever hear any facebook friends talking about it and I wonder whats up with that?
