From my observation, most of the people who voted for Ashraf Ghani did not vote for him because he really cares about the well being of all the people inside Afghanistan, from every ethnicity, and the future of the country as a whole . They voted for Ashraf Ghani simply because hes from the same ethnicity as them, while closing their eyes to all the other facts (about who he is and his background), that might take them( the loyal ethnic nationalist voter) and Afghanistan to its grave. The problem of ethnic loyalty for all the wrong reasons is the core problem of the nation of Afghanistan, and the building block to peace and sovereignty. And unfortunately, corrupt politicians are taking advantage of these docile ethnic nationalists for their own pockets.
