From our Indiana Chapter: Indiana Moms Against Gun Control LADYSEED - what? - LADYSEED - October: Sat 25, Sun 26 - FREETOWN Indiana - but whats Ladyseed?? Read on Patriots - Heritage, History, Marksmanship As youve noticed, We here at IMAGC, are BIG fans (perhaps me, personally the most) of Project Appleseed. Appleseed teaches safety (gun safety is REALLY simple, so easy 5 y.o.s can get it), History (Who fired the shot heard round the world? When and where was the American Revolution won? and SO much more), Marksmanship (learn how to shoot accurately beyond what you think you can - could you have been one of Morgans Riflemen?), and Heritage ... which is the combination of the history, marksmanship - and SOCIAL ACTION (society taking a stand) to start our country. Riflemen (used as generic, men and women) - are those who step up - speak out - and act to preserve our republic. Ladyseed - which is held a few time a year is coming up. This is a special Project Appleseed event that is Just for the Ladies - young and old. - My understanding is that the Indiana Appleseed Project is trying to get all of the instructors to be ladies as well. The Ladyseed event is being held - how appropriately - in FREETOWN, Indiana. (This is in the South Central part of the state, near Seymour and Brownstown) Links to the EVENTS are below ... And just so the men folk that follow the page, dont get bent out of shape (not sure why we would) - there is a regular Appleseed event the same weekend at Cloverdale, IN. I am planning to attend this one, and hope to get my rifleman score - as a start on the path to becoming an instructor. I got closer last event at the beginning of September. I have never seen anyone leave an Appleseed un-enthusiastic about their new skills. And I think with the understanding of what those who stood up that day - started for US - is very much in keeping with the involvement that we ALL need to take TODAY, now, everyday - to stand for our rights and speak up for Individual Liberty and Responsibility - to KEEP IT (meaning our republic, as Ben Franklin is quoted to have said).
