From our dear friend and partner, Trish Buchanan (y) (y) (y) So, Im on a new mission and dream now! I want to thank all law enforcement officers and first responders for what they do each and every day and to let them know that I appreciate them. In order to do that, Ive printed up cards and Ive been going up to law enforcement officers/first responders as I see them - I shake their hand, thank them for serving and protecting us, and share a card. Im doing this in Pauls memory. I originally was going to print only 50 cards, but then I decided to BELIEVE 208 and I took a big step and had 500 printed! As I hand them out, the responses on the law enforcement officers faces says it all....first they are shocked that someone is thanking them and then an instant smile comes across their face! Ive also placed them on police cars that I see parked. So, Im on this mission now to reach 500 officers! 40 cards down and 460 more officers/first responders to thank! To all my law enforcement officer/first responder friends that I know and love - Thank you for what you do each and every day. I appreciate you! (Stay tuned for my next dream...a 5K in Pauls memory....all for the benefit of first responders. Ive started the planning stages with my amazing new friend Katy Kleis Carbone and I BELIEVE 208 that with everyones help and support we can do this! Im hoping for Fall 2014.
