From our friend Chris Brooks at East Cooper Meals on Wheels ECMOW serves over 300 homebound seniors and disabled residents every day of the year in our East Cooper region with nutritious meals to assure that they do not go hungry, are at-risk from malnutrition, or are isolated and lonely. In 2013 we packed and delivered over 134,000 meals. ECMOW is totally self-supporting and we depend upon donations, local grants and business partners and events to assure that we can provide these meals. One such smaller event is an event on Sunday evening, June 8 from 5 until 9 at Pepper Plantation Pavilion just north of Mount Pleasant on US 17. We are seeking a musical group willing to donate their services to this event. The event is a live auction package purchased by a generous donor, and is one of 12 live auction packages sold at our May 1 annual Gala and Auction. This package raised enough money through auction sale to purchase nearly 800 meals. Food, drink and the venue have all been donated to complete this package. The band is welcome to share in all.
