~ From our friend Officer Scott Bailey~ Im looking for a huge support in my Autism Awareness journey. Ive had a House Bill out there since late November of 2013. It HB1842, and a great big thanks to State Rep Dom Costa for submitting the bill. It states that a person with Autism can register their drivers license/ state I.D. card that they have Autism. Its a voluntary basis. It would help so many persons with ASD and help police officers and other first responders to quickly identify and have a better understanding. Remember the 1 in 7 persons with ASD will have an encounter with a law enforcement official. Heres where I need the help. I need people to call State Rep Nicholas A. Micozzie who is the Chairman of the Transportation Committee at 717-783-8808 and ask him to bring HB1842 to the Floor and vote yes on it. Also it wouldnt hurt to call YOUR local State Rep.
