From quite a few people who are in some FB-groups Im also subscribed to, Ive got questions about lack of clarity concerning the B/W and color edition of my book about the Wild Hunt, the Wild Hunter and the Furious Host. I hope to reach them all by this answer....... Question: GardenStone, I read about how the US print-on-demand services print in B&W, whereas in Europe the contents of your book is printed in color. Do you know if this is this also true of ordering from Amazon within the USA? Answer: All foreign associates of my German Print on Demand publishing company only print the book in B/W. Only the German company itself prints it in color. The reason for that is, that the German company has a unique patented system for color print which gives authors the option to distinguish between b/w and color pages within one book. If a book has 50 color pages you pay a price for those 50 pages and all other pages have a lower B/W price. They dont give that system to their associates for free - so the associates only can distinguish between printing all pages of a book in B/W or print them all in color. Then they print in B/W - all in color would raise the price too much. If the book is ordered at a store outside Germany, then a B/W edition will be delivered. So the edition with the 65 color pictures (and many others in grey tones) only can be ordered from Germany, e.g. from my own small hg-shop. (The hg stands for the names of my wife and me). Here you will get your ordered copy autographed by me. ;-)
