From the Abolitionist Law Center which is doing great work in PA! With the rebellions against police violence in Ferguson and elsewhere across the country, its an exciting and important time to be fighting for prisoners and against the interlocking systems of oppression that link police and prison abuses to corruption in our political and economic system. There is a movement being born that has taken as its mission the abolition of The New Jim Crow, and a reorganization of political and social values, demanding that #blacklivesmatter in an era where they have been largely marginalized and treated as disposable. It is our great honor to play any part in this broader movement, and we hope to begin defending the organizations and activists that are the heart the movement both inside the prisons and outside in the streets, as we continue to develop in 2015.
