From the Missouri Dept. of Conservation - FALCON CAM UPDATE: FIRST CHICK! The pair of falcons nesting atop Ameren Missouris Sioux Energy Center in the St. Louis area hatched their first chick today! Below is a video of the first feeding. The female laid five eggs during late March. Falcon eggs take about a month to hatch. Ameren Missouri, MDC, and the World Bird Sanctuary are partnering on this “FalconCam” project to give you a bird’s-eye view of peregrine falcons raising chicks.
