From the Museum and Study Collection: A book containing colour images of Regents Canal, London. Inside the back page is a short text from London Canal Museum, which is situated just down the canal from Central Saint Martins. The text reads: Lace and ribbon plates were a favourite means of decoration for cabin walls. They were made in the Midlands and in Bohemia, and date from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. With their light background they helped to create additional reflected light within the tiny cabin.
