From the OINTB Trenches. Three-minute review, no spoilers :)) Ok, Orange is the New Black has now OFFICIALLY trashed my entire weekend in the BEST way. Episode 8 now. Cancelled dinner with friend last nite. Ooooh honey she laughed, youre binge-watching the most Plutonic show ever consumed by mass culture...I understand. But heres whats interesting. Someone wrote me and said, How can you write so poetically about such elevated spiritual topics and LOVE that trashy, obscenity-filled show? And I said, Are you kidding? What ISNT spiritual about this? What DOESNT god include? And thats the truth! Such compassion and wisdom in many scenes. And when you love the goddess Kali, ruler of death and rebirth, the Divines sure not only pretty unicorns :)) Anyway, soo lucky I made it to yoga early. After that cancelled a hike, then another meeting, lost in this baby. Jenji the writer is a genius. (Tho I cant say I prefer it over Season 1. I sure miss the witty heat of Piper and Alex.). Oh well, STILL amazing, especially to get everyones history. Beautiful. (And if you dont know what Plutonic means, well, you probably need to read Outrageous Openness :)) Onward! Back to Episode 8! Anyone else with me?
