From the Ottawa County Sheriffs Office, pertaining to one of several accidents this afternoon that resulted in E-BD I-96 being shut down earlier near Nunica... Incident # 1501050125 Location: I96EB east of 112th Ave Driver #1: Trever Skinner 18yrs Scottville, MI, Seat belted, driving a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 Non-Life Threating Injuries, transported - Life NOCH Driver #2: Jeffrey Bates 51yrs, Muskegon, MI Seat belted, driving a 2006 Chrysler Sedan No Injuries On Monday January 5, 20015 at 1415hrs, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office a investigating several crashes on I-96 EB east of 112th Ave in Crockery Township. Vehicle #1 driven by 18yr old Trever Skinner was traveling eastbound in whiteout conditions. As Mr. Skinner was traveling EB he loss control of his vehicle drove off the roadway and struck #2. #2 was involved in a previous crash sitting in the ditch when struck by #1. Mr. Skinner was initially unconscious and transported by Life ambulance to North Ottawa with Non-Life threating injuries. Approximately 10 vehicles were involved in separate crashes in this area. An Ottawa County Sheriff’s Patrol unit was damaged in a separate crash. I-96 eastbound was closed for approximately and traffic was re-routed.
