From the WTVY 4Warn Weather Team After a cold front moved through the Wiregrass last night, cold air rushed in. You see the temperatures that we reached early this morning, with widespread mid/low 20s. It warmed up slightly this afternoon, with highs in the upper 40s/near 50, which is 10 degrees or so below average for mid January. Tonight, a few more clouds will show up, keeping temperatures a bit milder Friday morning. Expect lows in the mid 30s, just above freezing for most, with a few spots just below freezing. Another front moves in Friday early morning, so expect more clouds and more wind. Highs will rise to the upper 50s, with morning and early afternoon cloud cover. Winds will also be strong, blowing out of the west at 10-15 mph. The front will bring yet another round of sub-freezing temperatures to us on Saturday morning. Lows will fall to the mid 20s for most once again, with a few low 20s sprinkled in. Saturday highs will remain cool, rising to the low 50s. The weekend continues dry and gets a bit milder for Sunday. Lows will be in the mid 30s in the morning and rise to near 60 Sunday afternoon. The mild weather continues Monday too, with more clouds and a very very small rain chance. Lows will fall to near 40, with highs in the mid 60s. Tuesday yet another dry cold front moves in during the morning. Lows will be mild, in the mid 40s but highs wont rise too much. Highs will only get to the mid 50s. And expect cooler weather for much of next week as well.
