Highlights from the coverage of the 37th National Convention featured in The Lyre, fall 1970: The Alpha Chi Omegas who descended upon the Portland Hilton Hotel, Portland, Ore., for the 37th biennial national convention, could be categorized as follows: 496 full time registrants, 20 part time registrants, and almost 200 who came for some of the meals and programs... Congresswoman May Cites Promise of Age of Aquarius... There were small silver plates. Revere bowls, trays in various sizes, including the giant serving trays for Council Trophy winners; and a silver punch bowl for another Council winner. There were shrieks of surprise and delight as the victors were announced even a few tears from at least one collegiate delegate as she went to the head table to receive her chapters prize. #tbt
