From the beginning, darkness covered the earth. The prophets of old spoke of His arrival. They longed to see Him but, alas, it was not meant to be in their time. The people waited looking for the One who would come and free them from the tyranny that imprisoned their lives. They thought in terms of government, He, on the other hand, spoke to our personal lives. The bondage and prison of ourselves. When He came the adversary did everything possible to stop Him from arriving (Revelation 12), send a flood of evil upon the earth hoping to wash away the goodness that was finally at hand. He selected those who He would personally share the hope and desires of His Father, teaching them through words of life and examples of victory, only to face the most horrible death known to man: The Cross. The prophets spoke of His life and His death. The apostles took Him in building a new life for those whom the Father had called and chosen, to be His children. The light had come down from heaven exposing the darkness. So, the apostles, men of renown who waited tables and washed the feet of the poor and lost, brought the light into this dark and evil realm declaring that the Kingdom of God is here. You see, that they too have become a light upon a darkened path. They took the Light that they had become and explained what the prophets of old were speaking about showing the people that God was answering their cries and they declared the truth that sets the called and chosen free from the darkness. The kingdom of God is the promise of the Father. It is foundation of Spirit and truth that we stand upon today. Without the light that came from heaven, the Alpha and Omega, we would not be able to see our new life. Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. The Alpha and Omega has a beginning and an end. The foundation is not infinite. These are the first oracles and the elementary principles of Christ. We are not able to go on to perfection unless we stand sure-footed upon the solid foundation made from His body, mixed with His blood and held together with the promise of the Father, the Spirit of God. How is it that we have strayed so far from the foundation? What does your house look like? If the foundation is no good then the house is no good. So many are living in condemned houses and they dont even understand this.
