From the commissioner’s office: I was waiting to win a game before sending out another update, but since it looks like that is not going to happen anytime soon……here it goes Every week I’m open to taking quotes for the newsletter (Good idea Molly). At least I was able to eat a couple knockwurst and hotdogs with Tyler and Jordan like old times at the Gamecocks tailgate! ; Team Trevor 116 – 2 game winning streak, starting to get fun isn’t it! Here is to hoping we say the same thing about the Redskins after Sunday’s game. Although, the cowboys are on a roll coming off that big “Moral Victory”. Team Jamie 132 – 716 Points against your team, looks like everyone gives you their best shot. What did you do to make everyone come after you? ; Team Carter 114 – Quote from Trevor “Carter is a product of the new generation of fans. During the Cowboys game he sure was cheering for his fantasy team to score instead of cheering for his real team – the Cowboys! Oh well, being tied with his dad going into Monday night’s game was a “Moral Victory” (Could not resist) Peyton Mannthangs (Ben) 161 – It is not fair to have Peyton on your team, I think we are going to institute a 15 point handicap. Would not have helped this week; The Red Rockets (Ross) 105– Third most points in the league but in 6th place. Just playing the wrong teams at the wrong time. Be on notice, this team is quietly good Shanahanigans (Tyler) 111 –Wow, what a weekend, clean sweep – Gamecocks won, Fantasy team won, Redskins did not loose and you beat Taylor Anne at Poker! ;Team Ladies First (Heather) 83 – Quote from Heather “This hobby is not very fun anymore, Redskins only 1 win, ladies first only 1 win”. Boy does Heather hate Tom Brady. If anyone needs a QB with a lot of potential but is currently underperforming, I think Team Ladies First would be open to a trade. Cutty Does It (Jordan) 102 –Jordan must be everyone’s favorite cousin/nephew/son/brother – only 482 points against his team. What is your secret Jordan? Oh, and the image that I think will stick with me from the fun weekend (Go Gamecocks) is seeing you in your Red Pickup packed full of tailgate tents and other tailgate items with a guy sitting on top of it all looking for Tyler and the rest of the gang so you guys could beat the traffic home. ;Team MOLLY 89 – Molly lost the game but gained a buddy this weekend. From the time she woke up to the time she went to bed, Macy was either with Molly or asking “Where’s Molly?”. Well, Macy did cancel her pampered chef party to go to the “Football game with Molly!”. Team Stephen 111 – If it were not for the commissioner, Stephen would be tied for the least amount of points yet has 2 wins. Sneaky good or lucky? ;Carolina Wide Open (Jeff) 98 – We might need to change the team name to Carolina Mouth Wide Open. Macy tip toed down stairsSaturday morning to see if Jeff and Molly were up and reported that Molly was sleeping under the covers while Jeff was sleeping with his arms above his head and mouth wide open. Jeff lost the game but also gained a buddy. Taylor Anne buddied up with Jeff and his friend Mickey at the game. She thanked Jeff so many time’s for taking us to the game, Jeff finally hugged her and said “You are welcome sweety, you don’t have to keep thanking me”. Taylor Anne then said “I like hanging out with the boys”. Mickey said “Less drama – huh”. Taylor Anne “Waaay less drama!”. Next week’s games: Shanahanigans vs The Commish – Take it easy on me, I need a win bad. If you let me win, I’ll let you win in ping pong (well – one game anyway). My prediction is Tyler by 20. Cutty Does it vs Team Jamie – Hmmmmm – I’m thinking Jamie wins it in a close game. Carolina Wide Open vs Peyton Manthangs – Jeff needs a win, but Peyton, I mean Ben, is tuff to beat. Ben wins by 25. Team Molly vs Team Carter – Carter started hot, but lost to his dad this week. I think he loses again to Molly. Molly wins by 3. Team Ladies First vs Team Trevor – Heather is in desperate need of a win. So far, no matter which QB Heather starts, if she had picked the other QB she would win. Can Trevor win 3 in a row? I think Heather picks the wrong QB again - Trevor to win by 1. Team Stephen vs The Red Rockets – I’ll take the Rockets in this game and I think they will cover the spread.
