From the fifth floor open window an eastern cosmic ladder of melon, orange, and gray streaks reach up rung by rung. Small spaces between green leaves of the tall tree beside the parking lot, and the early morning breeze create changing orange patterns. But the colors lighten and dissipate quickly as light gray blue clouds loosely gather, offering only glimpses of a white sun shining at edges and through small, feathered openings. To simply observe is to offer thanks, but the desire to utter words of thanks for daily blessings fills my spirit in the sudden bright majesty of the full white sun. Peace.
