From the kitchen of Republic- Today I had a feeling of fall coming on, the brisk morning temperature and blowing wind got my mind moving towards fall flavors. Today we are utilizing a favorite ingredient of mine during this season. The ever so versatile sweet potato!(or yam depending on where you are from). First we have homemade sweet potato chips with a spiced honey-apple butter. Next is our vegetarian plate of the day, sweet potato cakes over mixed greens finished with pecans and a maple vinaigrette. And last we have a savory sweet potato bisque with minced red pepper. See you soon.....
