From the makers of Battlestar Galactica, here comes Helix.. Helix is one of the highlights on the Sy Fy channel, it takes place in Antartica the south pole, where a private lab runs genetic experiments outside the bounderies of the law.. A crisis occur whan a never seen before pathogen breaks loose and infect the people living in that arctic base.. interlaced with secret government group and corrupt multibillion corporation conpsiracy.. Thumbs up: the scary and the killing anticipation is good and all, and the acting is convincing enough to watch.. Thumbs down: its a heavy subject filled with uncomfortable ideas and moments.. best described as eating two heavy plates of beans.. it would be tasty if ypu are hungry for beans, but i kinda dislike eating beans in a daily basis.. Compare it to the walking dead which filled with blood, gore and other uncomfortable stuff, I find the walking dead far more enjoyable than Helix Impression: Helix is not for everyone, and definitely for kids to watch.. some people may dislike it, because of its uncomfortable moments.. I may continue to watch it to satisfy my curiosity, but I wont miss it, if I dont get to watch the end.. A miserable 3 stars out of five.. Last words: there is this new TV series called the last ship that seem to be in similar page, you know infection, disease and deaths.. but seems to be more promising than Helix - coming soon youtube/watch?v=FysimLTAYKo
