Finally, consider an astrophysicist who is besieged by doubts about the proposition that the collapse of a black hole could vent the mass through a wormhole, causing an entire Big Bang somewhere else. This researcher should be able to find inspiration in this students paradoxical self-perception: of being utterly imperceptible but at the same time the center of the universe.
