From the police reports: A woman was contacted randomly via text about a company wanting to pay her $300 a week to put a Coca Cola wrap on her car. She was told by police to ignore the text. But the woman wanted to see where things would go if she said yes, so she sent her mailing address to the unknown person. A few days later, she received a check for $1,300 and instructions to give $1,000 to the company that wrapped her car and that she could keep the remaining $300. When she took the check to the bank, the teller advised her not to cash it because it seemed suspect.
