This weekend the volleyball fraternity will witness the first ever volleyball friendly match between the Nemostars fans’ team against Mulago volleyball club fans’ team. The fans of both clubs will have the opportunity to display what they have always wished their stars do on court. “we have decided to have this friendly with our counterparts from Nemostars as a move to promote unity and cooperation in the volleyball family particularly amongst the fans as we move towards the zone 5 volleyball qualifies that will be hosted here in Uganda in June,” said Isaac Pesci the Mulago fans’ team tactician. Citing their league loss to Nemostars a few weeks ago(3-1 it ended),the fans of Mulago expect to use this as an opportunity for revenge; this time round by white washing the club’s fans’ team. “We expect no tough times of what so ever from the Mulago fans’ team,” said Musinguzi Mark, the setter of Nemostars fans’ team. “ A win is necessary and a must considering our strength on net defense, it will not let any of the opponent’s attacks land on our side,” said Lule Geffoery the brain child be hide this project. “Okampisi has also been recalled from retirement to boast our team; those who saw him during his playing days when he featured for UCU doves and Nemostars in the mid 2000’s now the kind of harm he is going to unleash to these guys-referring to Mulago fans’ team, “added Mark. The Mulago volleyball club fans’ team will be led by Isaas Pesci as team tactician;players include:setter:Ssempiira Joseph and Emmy Ondongo,outside hitters;Lule geoffery,Bukenya Herny paul,Busiki Joseph;middle hitters;Kato Hassan,Frank cocodoyosis,Jiru Moses,Kasolo Denis,Mawamda Rogers,Swale Ssebagala.Notably missing on this squad is Rubangakene Dan’s young brother Okuli Jolly (middle blocker) who is away for holidays in Gulu. The Nemostars fans’ team will be led by Okampisi,Musinguzi Mark,Ojara Andrew,Sui-ling,Luswata frank among others. “I can’t wait to see these guys on court, they keep us going on court and we enjoy their company while in the stands. A time like this one; seeing what they can do on the volleyball court besides clapping and blowing loud sports machines will offer a lot of entertainment which we also miss while on court,” said Mugabi Yassin an out side hitters with Mulago Volleyball Club.
