From the valiant husband of my granddaughter, Jeni who went Home - TopicsExpress

From the valiant husband of my granddaughter, Jeni who went Home last March after an 11-year battle with leukemia: Dearest friends, Do you ever get tired of seeing athletes on television, with all of the God given talent one could have, constantly pointing the finger at “me” and “I” and flaunting themselves like they’re some kind of deity? Not that all of our athletes do this, but how refreshing would it be to see these athletes use their highly visible platform to reflect and give thanks to Christ!! I want to share with you an exciting ministry opportunity that has been presented to me and the calling that I believe God has placed in my life. I have been approached by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) with an opportunity to serve full time as a missionary in the world of athletics. I would be the full time FCA Sports Ministry Director for McDaniel College and Stevenson University as well as supporting the local high schools and community in Carroll County as well as the local Recreational Sports Director. My job would be to present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church. Those who have known me for any length of time will know that this is something that not only falls right in line with my strengths and gifts, but my passions as well. My ultimate goal is to create a better, Christ based, community beginning with its coaches and athletes. I would love to meet with you to discuss my vision and the importance of this calling in my life. I need YOUR financial support and prayers to make this vision a reality. This will take a total team effort. Will you become part of my “Home Team” and commit to a monthly donation of $50, $100, $200 or more? I will be in constant contact with my potential donors so that you know exactly what it is your generosity is helping to accomplish. My information is below if you have any immediate questions. I appreciate your time in reading my letter and in considering supporting me in this endeavor. If God places it on your heart to donate and help support my ministry, you can do so online by going to centralmdfca.org and clicking the drop down box marked “staff”. You will see my name in the options. Click on my profile and the rest is up to you and God!! Your brother in Christ, Chris Sturdivant 443-398-6804 clsturdivant@gmail
