From Sylvia: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SylviaBokorCommentsNewsletter ---September 19, 2014--- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dear New Mexicans, ---- 7 items ---- MESSAGES 1. Although you may not be a resident of District 16, its possible that interested individuals will be seated. Thank you. FYI REMINDER: Johnnys debate will be on September 30, Tuesday. 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. West Mesa Community Center, 5500 Glenrio Rd. NW (Coors Blvd NW & Glenrio Rd), Albuquerque, 87105. Moderator: Chris Rameriz, Channel 4. +++++++ 2. From Marita Noon, President East Mountains FRW, Tiejeras -- Today [September 18] Secretary of State Dianna Duran spoke . . . at the September EMFRW meeting. . . . she told us about the ballot-policy crisis . . . over the Bernalillo County Commission and the Santa Fe County Commission’s demand that what is essentially a poll/opinion, non-binding, question regarding decriminalizing marijuana be placed on the ballot. By law -- so that our service members get them on time --ballots must be mailed out in two days. The NM Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case on September 23, which is after the ballot deadline. The ploy on the part of the Commissioners is to increase Democrat voter participation, since Democrats primarily support decriminalization. A Federal Court Judge will be hearing the case this afternoon [September 18] at 3:00. Dianna believes the judge is a good, fair judge. She prays that the judge will determine this is a federal court issue since it impacts whether our service members will get their ballots on time as federal law requires. . . . If the two counties win this fight, every county will be wanting poll/opinion questions added to ballots which will lengthen the ballots and confuse voters who don’t understand that these questions and their responses are non-binding. . . . watch the news tonight to see how the Federal Judge decided. +++++++ 3. From Susan Riedel, candidate for Attorney General, Las Cruces -- Exciting news: today I am releasing my first television ad to be broadcast across the state beginning tomorrow morning. In the ad, I discuss my plans to protect victims of violence by putting offenders in the state of New Mexico behind bars for good. With over 25-years as a prosecutor and District Judge, I have the kind of experience and commitment to stopping crime that is needed for a cleaner, safer New Mexico. Please take a moment to watch my ad Riedel. Access: https://youtube/watch?v=9EDr5IEzu0s +++++++ 4. From Allen Weh campaign, candidate for New Mexico Senator, Albuquerque -- We have exciting news! The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Allen’s candidacy for U.S. Senate. Here are Allen’s comments regarding the endorsement: “I’m honored to receive the support of the NRA. In my 38 years as a Marine, I proudly defended our Country and our freedoms. In the Senate, I’ll continue the fight – including for the right to bear arms.” Like the majority of New Mexicans, Allen strongly opposes the Obama Administration’s support for U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which Tom Udall was in favor of. That Treaty infringes on the Second Amendment. . . . Tom Udall votes with Obama 94% of the time... and we all can tell how well that is working out. Tom Udall is simply a rubber stamp for a failed Administration. . . . +++++++ 5. For Robert Waylon Chavez, candidate for State Representative, District 14 -- Albuquerque -- FYI: Robert is challenging Miguel P. Garcia probably the most rabid of the states Progressives. It was Garcia who tried to change New Mexicos Constitution to force businesses to do his bidding. It is Garcia who is the spearhead against voter photo I. D. It is Garcia who is anti-business, pro-big government, big taxes and big spending. It is Garcia who vociferously favors a welfare state throughout. What is the result of his influence? Last night TV news reported that New Mexico is at the top of the list of poorest states. Only Mississippi is said to be a little worse off. We need to vote Robert Waylon Chavez into office. You can contact him at (505) 750-0233 and WaylonChavezNMStateRep +++++++ 6. From Ken Cuccinelli II, President, Senate Conservatives Fund, Alexandria, VA [Boldface by SCF] -- According to a new Fox News poll, the U.S. Senate race between conservative Joni Ernst (R-IA) and liberal Bruce Braley (D-IA) is now tied, 41-41. Harry Reid (D-NV) and his liberal allies [are working to] destroy Joni Ernst, but shes holding strong. . . .This could be the most important Senate race in the country. . . . It could also determine whether Harry Reid and the Democrats continue to control the Senate. The Republican establishment is spending millions to save weak incumbents like Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Pat Roberts (R-KS) –- money that is not available to help conservatives like Joni Ernst. We need to help her. We cant let her lose because the Washington establishment values spineless Republicans over conservatives. . . . Were grateful for your support! +++++++ 7. From David C. Williams, Albuquerque Tea Party Board Member, Albuquerque -- I sent a Letter to the Editor to the ABQ Journal Wednesday evening. . . . in support of Allen Weh. . . it mentions Udalls promoting SJR19 attempting to gut the First Amendment. ===###===
