From what technological heights has the human race fallen after each and every ice age? Most life on Earth was destroyed 65,000 years ago, by an asteroid impact that left a toxic cloud in our atmosphere. Since then, three ice ages have set the human race back in time, technologically, by forcing all civilizations to migrate to warmer, dryer places, leaving everything we had built behind. Did we really start from scratch 12,000 years ago, or did we retain a bit of knowledge from the previous thaw? Apparently, we did not keep much. What can we do to preserve our current knowledge, in the even of another asteroid impact, or another bout with an Ice Age?
