Fruitvale Station, the new movie that opened today at the movie - TopicsExpress

Fruitvale Station, the new movie that opened today at the movie theater next door to my building, had people lining up around the block. I am glad to see the film getting lots of attention. Oscar Grant was slaughtered by a cop while Oscar was lying face down on a subway platform, with his hands behind his back. He got shot, essentially, for saying a lot of angry, aggressive shit, triggering the white ignorant pig cop into, supposedly, using his lethal gun with bullets when the ignorant pig cop thought he was using his stun gun. I think the cop got less than two years, served even less and is back out living his life. Oscar is still dead. A timely film opening as we await the results of the fat cop wannabe in Florida who slaughtered Trayvon Martin for being a black male in a hoodie holding skittles. During the trial, eager for some news of how it went one day, I turned to the Huffington Post, which I almost never look at anymore. I find it hard to support HuffPost, which preys on starving writers and publishes a lot of lousy journalism. It also publishes some good stuff but the good stuff rises. Anyway, I go to Huff Post and there were no Zimmerman trial headlines so I did a search and up popped a suggested topic: "Trayvon Martin Trial". Wow, that angered me. Trayvon Martin, the kid Zimmerman shot in the heart for being black after dark, is not on trial. Trayvon Martin is dead. I wrote to complain to the Huff Post but no one acknowledged my complaint.
