Frustrated that Dina is struggling in Orland Park school district. Happy that after all these years, she finally is getting tested for a learning disability. I dont agree with the majority of schools and the, wait to fail philosophy! After years of working with her teachers, only her kindergarten and 3rd grade teacher listened to my concerns and did all they could do for her to succeed. Last year, we started the jumping trough hoops. This year of every night doing anywhere between 1-4 hrs of homework, at least 30 minutes of reading and cheer/football practice 2 hours a night, 4 nights a week... It is absolutely NO WONDER why I feel like Im going nuts! I am going nuts! Did I mention shes had a diagnosis of ADD since last spring (no 504 or IEP). Shes not on Meds yet either(partially my fault.) Did I mention Chris has been diagnosed with ADHD and on meds for almost 3 years now? Yes, he also DOES NOT have a 504 or IEP!
