Fuffers..... Fuffers is in great need of your help ASAP! Donations needed so I can take him back to the vet again. There is no getting around a vet visit if he is to live & not die. As you know, ALL of the donations n finances Ive had lately, have gone strictly for this flea infestation problem as well as the utmost basics of food/litter/meds, so have no emergency funds set aside for vet visits et. Guesstimating it, Id say the bill would not be more than $150. Could be lot less. It is obvious though that some drastic measures are called for to get him headed in the right direction once n for all health wise. Fuffers is one of the kittens born here last Dec. He developed diarrhea early on & Ive never been able to get him back to normal, so to speak. Although in the beginning, it was believed to be Giardia causing Fuffers the diarrhea, more than likely, he is actually an IBD kitty as hes been medicated to the moon & back for giardia, worms et to no avail. Tests one time will show he has giardia, then turn right around test again & is negative. Im to the point I dont trust these tests any longer. One of the drawbacks is Fuffers is a staunch dry food only kitty & Ive never been able to get him to eat canned food--including when he was a baby, just starting on solids. His siblings would suck down canned food while he would climb into the dry food bowl & eat. Happen to have quite a few who are like this concerning canned/dry food, for whatever reason. Right now, he has a cloggy nose, not really sick with URI, more than likely just allergies from dirt, dust et...so being cloggy certainly is not helping this matter of him & eating canned food :-/ I am putting links to a video made when he was little & seemed to be fine, then a video just made other day, so you can see his size hasnt changed a whole lot n hopefully you will be able to tell just how badly hes been affected by not only the cause of the the diarrhea, but also how badly the fleas affected him. There are several kitties who have been priority #1 when this flea ordeal started because their health was compromised already, Fuffers being one of them. Ive been right on the flea situation with him since day one, however even going through a few days of flea infestation really affected his health & drained him. Due to his body not absorbing nutrients, his fur is falling out in clumps, his skin is very thin & hes literally skin n bones. You will have to look hard n maybe several times at the video made this morning in order to see how clumps of fur have fell out, his skin n bones appearance, as the lighting just wasnt very good..sound was funky too so Ive got some work to do on settings for web cam again. I thank you all in advance for any donations you can send so that I can take him to the vet again. As I said in the video made, I dunno what the vet is gonna pull out of his hat as far as treating Fuffers from a different angle since weve tried so many things already, but dont know what else to do other than take him back in to see vet. Feel fairly sure Fuffers will be placed on a special dry food for IBD kitties n perhaps some type vitamin/body pep up medication. Thanks for your prayers n thoughts coming his way as well!
