First act promulgated by the first democratic parliament in 1994 was the Land Restitution Act. It was not a mistake because land is EVERYTHING! It defines who we are? Gives us life and takes us back when we die. 2) The president spoke abt dates of closure and opening of the claims process. Truth is our country doesnt have a land redistribution policy. Only 8% of land bought in 20 years(for almost R50 billion!). 1 million farm workers evicted since 1994. ANC promised 30% by 2014! It will take us abt 100 years to buy back the promised 30%! 3. President Zuma promised 1 million jobs in agriculture by 2030! Farm workers are slave, president you want to increase slavery on farms? Free farm workers lets give them land! Lets free farm workers lets give them a living wage R5000 minimum montly salary. Why not? 4. There is no food security in SA. If borders were closed for two weeks we shall starve! Agric contribute less than 5% to the GDP and employee less and less people on slave wages. Those who hold our land dont use in the interests of the nation or even for economic development. 5 . How do we call each other honorable when we preside over a landless people? Its a disgrace and dishoner that for 2O yrs, this house has allowed 40 000 white families and trusts to own more that 80% of the land. 6. National consensus has been long reached: that all SA land is stolen property! That we must not buy back our land. Every ANC conference has confirmed the declaration from the 2005 National Land Summit(organised by government, min Xingwana!). That willing buyer willing seller must be scraped! 7) Why buy back stolen property we ask again? There is no political, economic, ethical, religion reason to engage in the illegal activity of selling stolen property. The only answer is that our leaders have been paralysed by fear- bogatlapa, ubugwala! Le tshaba Maburu bagaetsho! 6. Lets bring honor to this house. EFF is offering this house its % to get the 2/3rds amend the constitution to realise radical change throughg land expropriation without compensation.
