Fully recovered from this mornings breakfast. Off in search for a tasty lunch and take Lauraine Jacobs recommendations and arrive at @Odettes. I immediately love the open space, the pendant lights (they look like Monmouth Glass), the friendly staff and their duck bluish attire. I admire what Clare & Joost van den Berg have achieved with building. Its modern yet comfortable. Filled with people yet not noisy and I love the color scheme. More importantly I like the food. The Vanuatu Prawn Steam Bun is a lovely lightly spiced starter. Very tempted to order another one but am distracted by the arrival of the Wild Mushroom and Buffalo Mozzarella sharing plates. If you are fortunate enough to have discovered Yotem Ottolenghis recipes, then this place is serving what I call Yotem type dishes. I see Nopi type food which is my cuppa tea. Spicy, Persian, Asian flavors will wow you. The Baked Whole Snapper in Jerk Spice, lime and cherry tomatoes takes you off on a tangent into Caribbean flavors and the reason is because the chef has worked in Bermuda. I also see Asian staff in the kitchen. Winning formula. I wanted the lamb that is marinated for 2 days and cooked for 9 hours but our waistlines are not going to allow that. This place requires a repeat visit. Many many many repeats in fact.
