Fuming as I have just realised I have missed my bin collection. Normally the bins are emptied at 7:30 am every Monday Morning. This morning I returned home to find mine (which i put out on Sunday afternoon as I usually do) and the lady across the roads had not been emptied, I thought Id leave it as they might be tunning late, dur to the adverse weather conditions. At 10 am I decided to ring and check, whilst looking for a phone number on the Commissioners website I found a document detailling Christmas collections. This says Normal collection Monday 22nd > will take place on SAT 20TH. WHY????!! May I remind Ramsey Commissioners that it is NOT CHRISTMAS UNTIL EVENING OF 24TH DEC as far as I and I daresay many other people who will continue to work up until this time, are concerened. WHY move a collection forward TWO DAYS making it a WEEKEND, when the normal collection day would have not even been a Bank Holiday, or holiday of any other description???? So, now I am left with a FULL to BRIMMING bin, and a dilemma. According to the same document, my bin collection will next take place on Monday 29th. I will therefore have to either cope with a completely full bin and store any rubbish from the next week until the New Year, or leave my bin on my drive from 24th-29th Dec, whilst I celebrate ACTUAL CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY DATES with my Family. Ramsey Commissioners could take note, that not everyone thinks they need to check the internet for this type of important local information. Most people (myslef and the 90+ year old lady across the road, and the bloke next door on an Oxygen tank to name a few....) would be better informed and much prefer a slip of paper taped to their bin after the last normal collection (i.e. last Monday) telling them when the next weird date for their collection will be.... SO YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO PUT YOUR BIN MEN OUT OF THEIR WAY TO PUT THE THING THROUGH THE DOOR DO YOU?????!!!!!!! Rant Over.
