Fun, eventful, blessed day in Chicago! Started off with a double-decker trolley tour of the city (almost saw the tour guide get his head torn off by a bridge spanning the roadway), took a tour of Lake Michigan, saw Chicago from 100+ stories up from one of the tallest buildings in the world, then almost witnessed a young man choke to death in a steak restaurant ... guy stood up, choking, trying to get it out, foaming at the mouth, wife crying and his kids watching in fear, his Dad and brother sitting there at the table in shock, not reacting at the situation at all ... luckily, two men (Filipinos) dining with their families at a nearby table sprung into action! The EMT did the Heimlich but it wasnt working at first . . . the young lady at their table was crying and in distress, but the other man calmly identified himself as a doctor (albeit an anesthesiologist) and his friend was an EMT and that seemed to calm the panicky wife down a bit . . . after a couple forceful thrusts and a very assertive Call 911!, the young man was able to upchuck and get the food dislodged from his throat! Finally the wait staff and manager appeared, but what couldve been a horrible tragedy was averted thanks to a couple of guys who leapt up to help . . . After the young man was able to calm down and recover, his young daughters gave him a big hug! The wife later came to their table to thank them and informed them that they were taking care of dinner! But I think they were too late - the restaurant took care of them already! Kudos to them and to all First-Responders out there. God Bless the young man and his family - his angels were there to save him. So far, we have found the people here in Chicago to be amazing, genuine and friendly - more so than the East Coast and West Coast
