Functioning of Expenditure Committee, MCMC reviewed Reasi, Nov 06: Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Shiv Kumar Gupta chaired the meeting of Election Expenditure Monitoring and Media Certification and Monitoring Committee. During the course of the meeting, ADC impressed upon all the District Officers and officials involved in election process to adhere to the Model Code of Conduct directions and implemented it in the District with letter and spirit. ADC issued directions to its sub ordinate officers to laid nakas, conduct raids and use other means of methods to check the violations of MCC. He also informed the meeting that as per the guide lines of ECI, the political functions including the rallies will be video-graphed as and when the need arises. Nodal Officer Man Power & Training –Manu Hansa presented a power point presentation about various important aspects of elections viz expenditure monitoring, media certification and monitoring and Model Code of Conduct. RO-Reasi Tilak Raj Sharma and RO-Gulabgarh Ashwani Khajuria impressed upon the committee members for maintenance of proper record by the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) and expenditure Monitoring Committee members for effective monitoring of election expenditure. Issues related to violation of Model Code of Conduct, maintenance of shadow register and paid news were also discussed during the meeting. The meeting was attended by DTO Reasi-Mahesh Sharma, DIO Reasi-Parvinder Kour, DySP(hqr) Reasi, members of expenditure monitoring committees, flying squad and static survelliance teams. Earlier a training programme related to expenditure monitoring and media certification for the upcoming Elections was held here today under the Chairmanship of District Election Officer Reasi-Shabir Ahmad Bhatt.
