Furnace update: So my furnace dies on the morning of New Years Day. Apartment Office hours are: they arent open till noon Friday. Maintenance comes out by 1pm and installs a new thermostat to replace the one that is as old as me. Turns out thats not the problem. The circuit board in the furnace is shot and needs to be replaced. Their supplier had two but sold them already. Theyll have one for me......Monday. Maintenance guy gave me two small space heaters to tide me over. They work just fine. The heat from the other apartments, especially the one below me, is keeping my place survivable. It really hasnt gotten colder than 69 degrees in here and Rain is fine because shes hardcore and from the streets, yo. :) Ill be buying groceries later and will just get a lot of stuff that requires stove top preparation (i.e. A flimsy excuse to buy bacon). Sunday night will be real cold and Im working, so I may have to come home and check on her.
