Further information of the proposed development at Penvenn Bungalow opposite the cottages at Newtown . Newtown lies in the designated AONB and this development if allowed would tower over the Hamlet increasing the traffic and pedestrian flow on an already extremely narrow and busy road . The proposal is for 52 Double Storey Holiday Lodges forming on a previous greenfield site within the ANOB that has only recent had agricultural status lifted. This proposal is at pre-application stage and objections need to be registered before 22nd of July. To do this online: 1. Log on to: planning.cornwall.gov.uk/online-applications 2. Copy this planning number into the search box: PA13/01733/PREAPP 3. Press the Make a comment button and follow the steps to login. 4. Each of the following points are areas for concern. -Green field site. -Major development within the Fowey ANOB. -Out of keeping with the environment. -Poor access to the highways on both routes. -Increased traffic onto narrow country roads. -No mains sewage. -No pavements on either routes, so no pedestrian access requiring -Promote the further use of cars. -Noise Impact -Visual Impact -Loss of Amenity (i.e. being free to enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside unhindered by noise and/or visual pollution) -Adverse impact to the residents and hamlet of Newtown. -Proposed tree screening shall deny properties at Newtown the right to light. -This parcel of land has a history of continuous development and this proposal shall probably eventually become a housing estate. -The Fowey area is already saturated with holiday rental accommodation properties that are not being filled.
