Further post on Claire Reck, cannot find the original Claires mother lived up on East Main Street, just a few doors down from us, her surname was Youngglas or Youngclas, something like that. We all called her Grandma Youngglass. She made the best sour cream sugar cookies I have ever had. They were soft, not hard and crispy like most sugar cookies. You could mix the dough and drop and bake immediately or refigerate overnight, roll and cut them out with a cookie cutter, which we always did. They have a bit of nutmeg in them and real butter, and to this day I still use the same recipe.
