Further to my comments re english newspapers yesterday I thought Id add some details as Ive got a bit of time on my hands. The Times has about 17 pages of referendum news, primarily in support of the no campaign. Titles like, The result everybody is dreading, Scots householders at risk of price crash as the markets panic, Experts warn of threat to UKs global influence, Scots should not close their eyes to Devo-max, and the front page cartoon with the tag we need to stay together for the sake of the royal baby - with the woman holding a paper with the title Scottish Vote. The London Evening Standard about 4 pages with titles such as Fly the Scottish flag to save Britain, Financial chiefs planning for yes vote chaos, If the Scots can get tax raising powers so should London, Waking up to the dangers of a yes vote Get ready for higher interest rates, Mark Carney tells unions. Not one bit of positivity about a yes vote, Scots yes voters are always called SNP or nationalists in a derogatory way. Can no one see why the majority of Scots want independence and why if most of the rest of the UK had a similar choice theyd be off too. Westminster governments need to start learning that the UK world is changing. The are desperately trying to hold on to the past and are not willing to realise that people want a change. The chance for Devo max is past. No one trusts them anymore too many skeletons have been running out of the closets!!
