Further to my run-in with the people at the Evolution is a Lie, https://facebook/barry.desborough/posts/929665733717561 , I note that Potato Head has retracted his accusations of plagiarism. No apology though. These are not honourable people. Furthermore, all my comments have been deleted and I have been expelled. Left up are comments by a poster addressed to me. As I cannot answer on the page in question, I messaged the facebook user concerned with this, which I am sharing on all my creation/evolution groups for members interest. The posters comments are in quotes, and my responses are not. Could you be so kind as to at least point to which of the 15 links on that page covers this (components of ERVs that perform functions)? Perhaps even quote the part which does? Links 5, 6 and 7 on the home page. I dont see any point in copying and pasting from my own FAQ, erv-faq-for-creationists.wikispaces/ERVs+FAQs+from+Creationists 5. ERVs do stuff. Doesnt that prove that they didnt originate from retroviruses, but were designed? 6. ERVs promote the transcription of host DNA. Doesnt this prove they are designed? 7. ERVs are essential in reproduction (syncytin and the formation of the placenta). How can this be? By the way, while trying to find it I notice the second to last link mentions Dr. Georgia Purdom of AiG but I dont see her mentioned in the linked page. I also dont see a link to an AiG page which is supposedly addressed there. It would appear to me that each quote you have on your various pages should be clearly identified as to where they are quoted from. Go to link 14, (Hasnt the evolutionists story about ERVs been debunked by scientists such as Dr. Yingguang Liu and Dr. Georgia Purdom?) The fist and second links there discuss Liu and Purdoms articles respectively. Each discussion links back to the original articles. Also on that page, I see you use the word lie quite freely. A lie is an intentional falsehood, not a disagreement. I find this very commonly in evolutionist material. It is an attack on the character of the person and is the fallacy of begging the question by attempting to support your own argument by implying that even the creationist you are quoting knows what you are claiming to be true is actually true. If you are going to use the word lie then you need to support the use of the word by also quoting the person where they show they do believe your claim is true, or at least that they admit what they are claiming to be true is not true. The four lies come from Dr. Fazale Rana. He has a Ph.D in biochemistry. I find it hard to believe he does not know he is lying. I find your comment ironic, given that it was posted on a facebook page entitled, Evolution is a Lie. Here is a claim directrly related to this page in your FAQ: erv-faq-for-creationists.wikispaces/The+same... Perhaps you could address this too, since your argument there only applies to the same ERV in different locations in supposedly distantly related species, not ones that are in the same place in more distantly related species than chimps, which evolutionists claim is more closely related, but does not exist in in chimps. The ERVs are not always consistent with evolutionary expectations. For example, scientists analyzed the complement component C4 genes (an aspect of the immune system) in a variety of primates.19 Both chimpanzees and gorillas had short C4 genes. The human gene was long because of an ERV. Interestingly, orangutans and green monkeys had the same ERV inserted at exactly the same point. This is especially significant because humans are supposed to have a more recent common ancestor with both chimpanzees and gorillas and only more distantly with orangutans. Yet the same ERV in exactly the same position would imply that humans and orangutans had the more recent common ancestor. Here is a good case where ERVs do not line up with the expected evolutionary progression. Nonetheless, they are still held up as evidence for common ancestry. https://answersingenesis.org/.../what-about-the.../ Addressed at link 12 in the homepage of the FAQ. 12. David DeWitt at AiG says ERVs do not line up with the expected evolutionary progression. What gives? If you wish to ask me any more questions, they would be most welcome - as long as you check the homepage of the FAQ first to see if they have already been covered.
