G A Mir addresses huge gathering in Dooru,Emotional workers broke down into tears Dooru,25 December 2014 (CNS):-Former minister and senior Congress leader, G A Mir Thursday addressed gathering of some six thousand people and vowed to bounce back in a strong way. While thanking the people for voting in his favour, Mir asked the party bearers to take stock at the ground level and try to find out the loop holes that resulted into the defeat of Congress strongman in Dooru constituency. The party workers, most of them who were seen in emotions with tears in eyes following Mir’s defeat, raised slogans in favor of Mir and vowed to emerge stronger in future.Mir asked the people it is not the time to shed tears but to get united and make the party grid on ground level very strong. “We have to introspect where and what went wrong. Our defeat in these elections made us to think that all is not well. So we all have to sit and carve out the ways to make things better for the future,” he told the emotional gathering. Furthermore, Mir stressed upon the workers to strengthen the organsitional structure of the party at the block, secretary level. The senior congress leader said that the era of development that was started in Dooru since 2002 under his continuous term as the MLA would continue. “It doesn’t matter whether I am a part of the legislative assembly or not, my urge to make Dooru a developmental symbol in the state would continue. We have done lot of works during our regime but more needs to be done,” he said.
