GALAPAGOS - Fatu-HIVA, FRENCH POLYNESIA - DAY 5 Second day of sailing over 200 miles! Today was 206 miles. The difference from yesterday is that we have more wind and not sailed with the asymmetric spinnaker. The lake has been a bit bumpy. We have at times between 10 - 12 feet of, but we have so far escaped to get any any over the boat! Yesterday, we had most of the day perfectly blue sky. This morning we had a short rain, which was not enough to shower the salt off the boat (1.3 mm). Mostly of the race so far has been half wind and it looks in the future as well. We sail for full sail, ie, genoa, main and mizzen sail. The wind commutes mostly between 9 - 13 m / s, except for the first few days was between 6-8 m / s The forecast ahead looks the same. Rain cut blew away quickly and now we have bright sunshine from a clear blue sky. The temperature is between 30-33 degrees inside the boat and outside is between 26 - 27 degrees, so Cassandra and Johnny prefers to sleep in the cockpit!
