GALING - MAGALING - MAS GUMALING - NAKAGALING While the Gospel of Matthew speaks of a wealthy man who risked his money on the GALING of his personnel, the first Reading taken from the Book of Proverbs hails a MAGALING wife - difficult to find, more precious than pearls, honor to her husband. The man who received five talents {five thousand gold pieces according to NAB} through his GALING produced double the amount in the span of time between the leaving and the arriving of his Master. He did not simply use the five talents and produced five more but in the process he became MAS GUMALING. He became a master of his enterprenueral business sense so that the wealthy man did not simply praise him as MAGALING but now he shares his MASTERS JOY. Instead the industrious wife was praised by the Lord Almighty as worthy of emulation and pride by her whole town. Her GALING was not simply confined in working at threads of linen and wool in a spindle and producing clothing for her brood and husband. Nay, she was also generous to the needy and thus NAKAGALING siya ng kanyang kapwa. We all have what it takes to share the Masters joy. He gave us his IMAGE AND LIKENESS and what we need to do is use them to the best of our ability as well as to the maximization of the opportunities He offer along the way. The length of time of absence of the wealthy man is actually the length of our LIFETIME. I am turning 61 years this December and thats quite some time already. When the Master arrives on MY HOUR {sa oras ko} He would ask for accountabilities from me. Two questions will be asked of me: [1] MAS GUMALING ba ako sa pagdaloy na mga panahon? Hiram sa Diyos ang aking buhay. Babalik ba ako sa kanya nang buhay-na-buhay? Or patay-patay? and [2] NAKAGALING ba ako sa ibang tao - sa aking kapamilya, kabiyak, kasambahay at lalo na sa mas nahiirapan? My the Master find you and me not wanting on the day of reckoning!
