GALTLOVER To Roma_in_Americas@yahoogroups Today at 12:42 AM Europeans panic over white children in Romani families, this is ridiculous and hypocritical on the part of Europeans as they adopt children of different color and ethnicity. They take the children and given them a new identity hence negating their own individual identity, ethnicity and cultural heritage. The child becomes a decedent of Adam and Eve or more recently of the evolution from the ape, or in some countries like France their ancestor is Asterix the Gaullois. The child is never told of his rich history and his ancestors. As a non-Roma I have asked this question of myself, why is it that non-Roma believe that Roma people cannot have a light colored skin baby and think that the child was abducted. My answer is very simple, because we abducted Roma people and then made them scapegoats. The same phenomenon happens in the Jewish community, it is easy for non-Jews to think that Jews kidnap Christian babies at Passover and drink their blood, why I can link it to a Catholic practice of drinking the blood of Jesus so we transfer it on others. It is strictly forbidden for a Jews to drink blood as it is not Kosher. I have been told to stay away from Roma people as I was in danger, I did not listen as I liked the music the songs and I met people who were Roma. My listening to the music, becoming one with music made me very happy. It also made me think and write about lies we tell ourselves based on actions we did to others. My heart goes to the families who were falsely accused and to those who stood by them. Education is key however learning is more difficult as it needs to reassess what non-Roma have been taught since birth, do not trust, fear etc. I am not afraid and found joy in meeting and talking with Roma people.
