GAME DEVS! Serious question time. On the Jon Jones Job Journal, - TopicsExpress

GAME DEVS! Serious question time. On the Jon Jones Job Journal, Ive noticed that King has been posting a ton of jobs. I mean, a TON, to the point that its getting spammy. Right now, 153 of the 650+ jobs on the list are from King, spread across 8 countries (Germany, Spain, Canada, Korea, UK, Malta, Romania, Sweden). And only about half of those are straight-up dev jobs, the rest being publisher-side support, which isnt an audience I have any reach into. In my mind, that clutters up the list and makes it potentially less useful to the audience of developers Im trying to help. With that in mind, and also given Kings history of copying games and bullying indie developers, Im considering removing them from the list of companies whose jobs get posted. But that leads to the question: Should I have an editorial opinion on which jobs get posted, or should I leave it alone and let people sort it out for themselves? As it is, 223 companies jobs postings are automatically posted to the list, and I add more every week. If it was purely an ethical question Id leave it alone, but the spamminess and irrelevant job postings could make the site less useful, and above all else I want it to be a simple, easy-to-use resource for people. Having one company out of 223 posting nearly 25% of all the jobs on the list seems skewed. Id like to hear your thoughts on this, because its a tricky one for me. Thanks! (thanks to John Henderson for bringing this to my attention.)
