GARDNER The Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center will hold a free drum workshop on Oct. 16 and 17, where veterans will be able to make their own African and Native American drums and then play as part of a drum circle. MVOC has reached out to other veterans groups, some as far away as Chelsea, so that the veterans in attendance will have the chance to make new acquaintances outside of their normal circle. The maximum class size is 25 people, and there are only a few spots left, according to Mr. Young. The class runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
