GARUDA INDONESIA ARRIVES AT NEW INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL AT DENPASAR (Sydney, 19 September 2013): Garuda Indonesia, the airline of Indonesia, is pleased to announce that all passengers flying into Bali will now be arriving at the new international terminal at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar. Effective from today, arrival, checked-in baggage collection and immigration clearance will be handled at the airport’s brand new international terminal. While international arrivals begin into the new terminal today, international departures will not commence until 29 September 2013*. Passengers departing from Bali on international flights are asked to continue their check-in at the existing international terminal until 28 September 2013*. Garuda Indonesia customers departing from Bali after 29 September* are advised to arrive at the new terminal at least two hours before their scheduled flight departure to provide sufficient time for check-in, security checks and immigration clearance. Commenting on the new terminal, Bagus Y. Siregar, Vice President for Garuda Indonesia Australia and SWP said: “We are pleased that our passengers travelling to Bali will now be able to experience a brand new airport with a wide range of facilities.” Set to become the best airport in Indonesia, Ngurah Rai was built not only to accommodate the growing number of tourists visiting Bali, but in preparation for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Co-Operation (APEC) Summit which will be held in Bali in October 2013. As Indonesia’s national carrier, Garuda Indonesia is currently completing the development of a First Class and Business Class Lounge in the new terminal. Set for launch in early 2014*, an interim Business Class lounge is available for Garuda Indonesia passengers until the permanent lounge has been finalised. Additionally, Garuda Indonesia passengers will also be able to enjoy a premium check-in area, dedicated to the airline’s First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Garuda Frequent Flyer (GFF) members. -Ends-
