...GATES! A lady was locked in a tall fenced compound. She needed to go out, but couldnt because the key to the gate wasnt with her. A man at the other side of the fence, heard her voice and wanted to help but since he didnt have the key, he couldnt! After a long period of time, she then remembered she needed to stop calling on humans who couldnt help. and shifted her gaze upwards, to the ONE who has the MASTER KEY! She cried for mercy, remembered Him of His promises and before long, the gates opened on its own accord. Apparently, the man at the other side of the fence, was about leaving, when he heard the sound of the opening gate and looked back. Then he discovered it was her...!!! (A sisters revelation that led to her marital breakthrough). Gates could represent various things depending on the area of a mans life where it has been positioned. Gates could serve as an hindrance to the progress of a man, either preventing him from moving forward or only restricting him to some certain level of freedom! -In ones spiritual life, gates could be: prayerlessness, rising& falling, besetting sin, etc which hinders the spiritual growth. -In ones marital life, gates could be: delays, veil covering the man/womans eyes, man/woman looking in the wrong direction, strategic displacement, wrong locations, etc -In ones financial life, gates could be: lack of helpers, indebtedness, poverty etc. -In ones academics, gates could be: constant failure, forgetfulness, etc... But does a child of God need to give up at the sight of a gate? NO! Thanks be to God who has the GREATEST POWER OVER ALL, AND HAS THE MASTER KEY to destroy/open all gates!!! Psalm 24:7,8: Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. My dear brothers/sisters, DONT GIVE UP! Well rejoice soon, because God is bringing in our miracles. The battle is not ours, its the Lords and Hes going to fight it! God is not done with us, we will fulfil His specific purpose because we are not here on earth just to take up space. Wait...still living in sin? Oh, the Bible says: the prayer of a sinner is an abomination to God. So you need to repent and ask for His forgiveness first, not because of His blessings, but to escape eternal damnation which awaits unrepentant sinners! Having settled the issue of your salvation; have faith and engage in fervent prayers. Until Jacob prayed, his name wasnt changed! Until Jabez prayed, his coast wasnt enlarged! Until Paul& Silas prayed and sang praises, the prison gates did not open! Instead of getting worried and depressed, lets go to God in prayers on the platform of purity and watch Him remove those hindrances to our progress! God has promised us an expected end, and provided all we need to get to that glorious end! He is able to do as He has promised. As we go this week, lets remember this verse in Isaiah 60:11a: Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night... GOD IS AT WORK! Do have a victorious week!
